Las Piñas City Manpower Training Center gets Training Achievement Award
The Las Piñas City Manpower Training Center (LPCMTC) has been cited by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) as one of the best technical and vocational schools in the country.
The LPCMTC received the Training Achievement Award from TESDA – NCR during the celebration of Trainees’ Day last November 10, 2011 at TESDA Brick Plaza, Taguig City. With Honorable Guest Senator Chiz Escudero and Secretary Joel Villanueva, Director General of TESDA.
TESDA-NCR recognized the outstanding performance of LPCMTC in providing free vocational and technical training for the city residents particularly, the out-of-school youths and unemployed adult for them to have effective and employable skills after three to six months of training.
Every year, more than 4,000 Las Piñas residents mostly youth, avail of the technical and vocational courses from the Center.
LPCMTC trainees also bagged recognition award like Ms. Misty S. Sanmillan who received the Outstanding Graduate Award in the Wage-Employed category. Ms. Sanmillan is a high school graduate but because of her training at LPCMTC, she promoted from being a waitress to a supervisor of a known restaurant.
Ms. Yunica Leih Reyes is the first to be crowned in the NCR as Ms. Trainees’ Day 2011 and Mr. Alexis Simon Dimafelix was cited 2nd Runner Up in Mr. Trainees’ Day 2011. Both winners were graduates from LPCMTC and they were the official representative of Las Piñas City.
Aside from the most coveted Training Achievement Award, LPCMTC trainees demonstrated their excellence by winning the skills competition: Mr. Christian Rasca – Silver Medalist for Flower Arrangement. Ms. Jeanette A. Aranda – Bronze Medalist in “Pinoy Hilot” for Massage Therapy.
Not only were the trainees recognized but also LPCMTC Trainer Ms. Charita E. Berzal was given a Certificate of Recognition for the Outstanding Trainer Award.
Anna Margarita Aguilar-Dimaguila, LPCMTC Training administrator attributed the achievement award to the full support of Mayor Nene Aguilar.
LPCMTC is considered as one of the most awarded training centers in the country with its winning of gold medal in the Skills Olympics in the Philippines and Asia.
