Las Piñas City mobilizes citizens for inclusive growth through 2024 Community Census

In a step toward inclusive urban development, the Local Government of Las Piñas has announced its participation in the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) national rollout. This data-driven initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance local governance and ensure that the delivery of services is aligned with the needs and aspirations of its residents.

The CBMS seeks to gather comprehensive data on various aspects of life in Las Piñas, including health, nutrition, housing, water, sanitation, education, and employment. This information will be instrumental in crafting targeted policies and programs that address the specific challenges faced by the community, including infrastructure improvement and support for vulnerable sectors such as informal workers, micro-entrepreneurs, solo parents, PUV drivers, and OFWs.

The City Local Government is encouraging its residents to participate in the census and assures confidentiality through the use of LGU Suite, indicating a modern, tech-enabled approach to data collection and analysis.

As part of this project, the LGU is also actively recruiting Data Field Workers from within the community. Interested applicants with tech proficiency, community engagement skills, and a commitment to service are encouraged to apply at the Mayor's office.

As the city moves forward with the census and recruitment, these efforts will likely not only influence the quality of public services but also strengthen the community's role in governance. The dual drive for census participation and worker recruitment demonstrates Las Piñas's commitment to inclusive growth and sustainable urban planning, highlighting the integral role of community involvement in urban development.
