Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda “Mel” Aguilar announced the rollout of second booster shots for immunocompromised individuals.
Mayor Aguilar encourages the immunocompromised individuals to receive their second dose booster shots three months after receiving their first shot as an additional protection against Covid-19.
The mayor announced that immunocompromised individuals aged 18-years-old and above are entitled to receive their second booster shot at the vaccination sites identified by the city government.
Mayor Aguilar said people who can get the second booster shot are those with HIV, active cancer, undergoing steroids treatment, patients with poor prognosis, and transplant patients.
She said second booster shots are available and will be conducted at the SM Center and Southmall from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon; University of Perpetual Help System Dalta gym from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and at Village Square from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m.
The city chief executive added that the other vaccination sites they can visit are the Robinson’s mall from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and at the Villar Sipag Hall from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m.
Mayor Aguilar also advised those who will be receiving the second dose of booster shot to visit the Las Piñas Facebook page for the schedule in administering the vaccines.
Dra. Julie Gonzalez, head of the City Health Office (CHO), explained that anybody can receive the homologous (same brand of first administered vaccines) received or the heterologous (different kind of vaccines) from the first brand received. # # #
