Following the success of the recent health initiative, the City Health Office of Las Piñas conducted another free pneumonia vaccination drive for senior citizens on Friday, January 26th. The event, held once again in Barangays Almanza Dos and Pamplona Tres, expanded its reach, catering to over 1,600 senior citizens.
This second vaccination drive comes as a response to the high demand and positive feedback received from the first drive. It underscores the city's proactive approach to addressing health concerns among its elderly population, who are at a higher risk for respiratory diseases like pneumonia.
City Vice Mayor April Aguilar, who attended the event, reiterated the importance of such initiatives in ensuring the health and safety of our senior citizens. She emphasized that these vaccination drives are essential in protecting them against serious illnesses and in promoting their overall well-being.
The City Health Office plans to continue these health initiatives, aiming to cover more areas and reach more residents in need. The success of these vaccination drives is a clear indication of Las Piñas City's dedication to public health, especially in caring for its vulnerable populations.
