Performers from Divine Light Academy, a private educational institution in the City of Las Pinas, graced the Monday flag ceremony with their distinctive brand of music and dances. Their performance elicited praises from city hall employees and other members of the audience. Showcases from different performing groups are a regular fare at the city hall grounds every Monday morning. It is a move by Mayor Imelda Aguilar to instil appreciation of the arts and culture among city hall employees, and involve various performing groups in the city to feature their outstanding talents.
As a gesture of appreciation for its performance on August 1, 2016, Mayor Imelda Aguilar awarded a certificate of recognition to Himig Kawayan of Divine Light Academy (www.dla.edu.ph).
