Health Care: Green Card
Worried about expensive hospital bills? Looking for an affordable health care plan? Residents of Las Piñas need not look far, as they can avail of a free hospitalization package worth Php 30,000, care of the local city government.
Las Piñas City Mayor, Vergel “Nene” Aguilar, is key in strengthening the city government’s hospitalization program to support to those who are in need of financial assistance with the high cost of medical care. Health care is now more accessible to Las Piñas residents with the Green Card.
Since the implementation of the Green Card in the year 2000, there are currently over 50,000 residents who are qualified for the program, and are considered Green Card holders.
With such efforts to make health services available to city residents, the city of Las Piñas was given the prestigious “Sentrong Sigla” award by the Department of Health, for having the finest health facilities and programs throughout the country.
